Learning outcomes

  1. Perform a holistic assessment of a patient presenting with a lower leg wound
  2. Assess whether the patient would be suitable for compression therapy by performing a vascular assessment (Doppler) to record ankle brachial pressure index (ABPI) and be able to interpret the results
  3. Identify the best options of compression therapy in partnership with the patient. Learners will understand the importance of correct application of the chosen method, such as compression wraps, bandages or hosiery
